Gypsum block is a massive lightweight building gypsum product made by mixing, pouring and drying with water as the main raw material. In the production according to the performance requirements can also be added light aggregate, fiber reinforcement materials, blowing agents and other auxiliary materials. Sometimes, partial high-strength gypsum (alpha hemihydrate gypsum) can be used instead of building gypsum.
Gypsum blocks are mainly used for non-load-bearing walls of frame structures and other structural buildings, and are generally used as internal partition walls. If the appropriate fixed and supporting structure is used, the wall can also withstand heavy loads (such as hanging cabinets, water heaters, bathroom appliances, etc.). Moisture-proof blocks with special admixtures can be used in bathrooms, toilets and other occasions where humidity is not constant.
Gypsum block has the advantages of light weight, accurate size, fire prevention, earthquake resistance, heat insulation, indoor dry humidity adjustment, excellent processing performance and convenient construction, etc. It is an environmentally friendly and energy-saving green product which is mainly promoted and applied.
